The Blue Plum Zen Group meets regularly at Studio Hum in Johnson City on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, and also hosts special gatherings such as Japanese Tea Ceremony, art practice, Buddhist study, and Zazen intensives. The Blue Plum Zen Group is facilitated by Polly Kiho Horne, a Jukai Student in the Mountains and Rivers Order of Zen Buddhism with 15 years of Zen practice at Fire Lotus Temple in Brooklyn, NY and Zen Mountain Monastery in Mt. Tremper, NY. Kiho is a Student of Shugen Roshi. We are located just off of North Roan St. behind the Medicine Shoppe, accross the street from Goodoo Bowl and Open Door Coffeehouse. Vista Ridge Detal Arts (Dr. Amy Moody) is on the 1st floor of our building. Appalachian Dharma & Meditation Center and The Lotus Room are located in the basement.
